Table of Contents

1.1 Installation

  1. Backup Your Data: Backup the Database and Your Store's Web Directory.
  2. Disable Compilation: This Step is For Magento 1.4+ Versions. If You are Running an Older Version, This Step Can be Skipped. In the Magento Admin Panel, Go to System->Tools->Compilation. In Case "Compiler Status" is "Enabled", Click on the "Disable" Button (In Case the Status is Disabled You can Skip This Step):

  3. Download and Extract: Download and Extract (Unzip) the Extension's Contents on your Computer. Navigate Inside the Extracted Folder.
  4. Upload Files: Using a FTP Client, Upload the Content of the Extension Directory to the Store's Document Root, So That the App Directory in the Extension Folder Overwrites the App Directory on the Server. If Asked to Replace Any Files, Select "Yes".
  5. Clear the Cache: In the Magento Admin Panel, Go to System->Cache Management and Press the "Flush Magento Cache" Button:

1.2 Configuration

Please Follow the Instructions below to Manage Your Settings

  1. Go to System -> Configuration
  2. Then from the Left Menus Choose Image
    CYBERNETIKZ -> Slider Management
  3. “Slider Content Settings”, “Slider Settings” & “JS File” Boxes will Show up in the Middle of the Page and Change the Parameters there Based on Your Needs.
  4. Then Click on the Save Config Image Button on Top to Save Your Settings

1.3 Manage Slider

Being Logged in to the Admin Panel Please Follow the Instructions Below to Manage Sliders

  1. Go to Slider -> Manage Sliders Image
  2. Then You Would See a List of Sliders (If they are Already Created) as Follows

  3. To Add a Slider Click on the Add New Slider Image Button and the Button being Clicked Category Content Box will Appear as Below

Where Title, Order Needs to be Added, Font Size and Configuration Needs to be Selected, System Configuration will Give You the Default Options & Custom Configuration will Show You the features to Select as Below

Once Done You could Reset/Save Slider/Save and Continue Edit

Now to Edit a Pre-created Slider You Need to Click on the Specific Row Where it Sits and Make Changes According to Your Needs,

There are Options to Reset/Delete Slider/Preview Slider/Save Slider/Save and Continue Edit being Done

1.4 Manage Banners

Now to Manage Banners Please Follow the Instructions Below

  1. Go to Slider -> Manage Banners Image
  2. Then You Would See a List of Banners (If they are Already Created) as Follows

  3. To Add a Banner Click on the Add New Banner Add New Banner Button, This Button being Clicked Slider Content Box will Appear with 20 Different Features as Below (if You Choose "Call to Action with Banner Image" for "Call to action Type" You will See 13 Features Instead of 20 )

These Features are Pretty Self-Explanatory but Let Us Give You Detail Descriptions of Each Feature

  1. Title: Add Your Banner Title Here
  2. Status: Choose Your Status Enabled or Disabled
  3. Store: Select Your Store View Here
  4. Slider: Choose the Slider Under Which the Banner Would be
  5. Slider Image: Add Your Banner Image Here
  6. Web URL: Put Your Call to Action URL Here
  7. Order: Add Your Banner Display Order Here
  8. Active From: Select Month – Day –Year From When the Banner Should be Active
  9. Active To: Select Month-Day-Year When the Banner Should Stop Running
  10. Title Text Color: Choose Color for Title of the Banner Text
  11. Content Text Color: Choose Color for Your Banner Texts
  12. Call to Action Type: Choose Your CTA Type as Button or Banner Image
  13. Call to Action: Choose Enabled or Disabled
  14. Call to Action Button text: Type in Your CTA Text
  15. Call to Action Text Color: Choose Your CTA’s Text Color
  16. Call to Action Text Effect Color: Add Effect to Stand Out Your CTA Text
  17. Call to Action Top Gradient: Choose CTA’s Background Top Color
  18. Call to Action Bottom Gradient: Choose CTA’s Background Bottom Color
  19. Call to Action Border Color: Choose Your CTA’s Border Color
  20. Banner Content: Use Editor to Add Your Banner Contents

Once Done You could Reset/Save Banner/Save and Continue Edit

Now to Edit a Pre-created Banner You Need to Click on the specific row where it sits and Make Changes According to Your Needs,

1.5 Display Slider

Please Follow the Instructions Below to Display Banners on the Home and Other Pages

  1. Go to CMS -> Pages





    and a List of Pages will Show up

  2. Click on the Expected Page Where You Want Your Banner Slider to Show up and That Page will Open with a List of Menus on the Left side, Tap Content from there & Add the Code Below to the Position Where You Want to Show the Banner

Now Click on the “Save Page” Button on Top to See the Banner

Now to Display Banner Slider on Any Static Block Go to CMS -> Static Blocks

Click on the Expected Block Where You Want Your Banner Slider to Show up and That Block Will Open with the Following Features as Below,

Then Place the Following Code on the Content Box to Display the Banner Slider

Now Click on the “Save Block” Button on Top to See the Banner Slider

Now to Display Banner Slider on Any XML Layout put the below:

1.6 Troubleshooting

If You Get a 404 Error While Trying to Access the Extension's Configuration at System -> Configuration -> CYBERNETIKZ Slider Management

Please Log out and Login in Back to the Admin Panel
